1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SummarizeMe ("Service," "we," "us," or "our") at https://www.summarizemee.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

SummarizeMe is operated by SummarizeMe, based in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

2. Description of Service

SummarizeMe is an AI-powered web application that allows users to summarize and transcribe video content from platforms including YouTube, Vimeo, Udemy, and Coursera, as well as uploaded video files. The Service generates AI-written summaries, full transcripts, and key insights from video content.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. Account Registration

To access the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Credit System

SummarizeMe operates on a credit-based system where credits are consumed to process video content:

• Free credits: New accounts receive 3 free credits upon registration. No credit card required.
• Credit cost: 1 credit covers up to 10 minutes of video processing. The cost is calculated as ceil(video duration in minutes / 10), with a minimum of 1 credit per job.
• Credit expiry: Monthly subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Top-up credits do not expire.
• Non-transferable: Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.

6. Subscription Plans

SummarizeMe offers monthly subscription plans that provide a set number of credits each billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.

Key subscription terms:

• Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Credit reset: Monthly credits reset at the start of each new billing cycle. Unused credits from the previous cycle are not carried forward.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew. You will retain access to your remaining credits during this time.
• Plan changes: Switching plans takes effect at the next billing cycle. Switching to a different plan during an active cycle will start a new checkout.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 14 days' notice to your registered email address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Credit Top-Up Packs

Active subscribers may purchase additional one-time credit top-up packs to supplement their monthly allocation. Top-up packs are only available to users with an active subscription.

Top-up credits do not expire and do not reset at the end of a billing cycle.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, a third-party payment processor and Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's terms of service and privacy policy. SummarizeMe does not store your payment card information.

For subscriptions, your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment method remains valid. If a renewal payment fails, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.

All prices are in USD. Applicable taxes may apply depending on your location and are determined and collected by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SummarizeMe uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries and transcripts. All AI-generated outputs are provided for informational purposes only.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any generated content. You should not rely on AI-generated content for legal, medical, financial, academic, or any other critical decisions. SummarizeMe is not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in generated content.

10. User Responsibility for Submitted Content

By submitting a video URL or file for processing, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right to submit the content for processing
• Your use complies with the terms of service of the platform where the video is hosted
• The content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

SummarizeMe does not verify ownership or licensing of submitted content. You are solely responsible for any copyright infringement or terms of service violations resulting from content you submit.

11. Third-Party Platform Availability

SummarizeMe relies on third-party video platforms to retrieve content. We do not guarantee that content from any external platform will be accessible at any time. Platform restrictions, geographic blocks, or policy changes by third parties may prevent processing of certain videos. If a job cannot be completed due to platform restrictions outside our control, credits will be restored to your account.

12. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service
• Use automated tools to create accounts or submit jobs in bulk
• Resell or redistribute outputs generated by the Service as your own product
• Share, sell, or transfer your account or subscription to another person
• Submit content that contains illegal material, hate speech, or explicit content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for any violation without prior notice.

13. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials on SummarizeMe are the property of SummarizeMe and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any video content you submit. You grant SummarizeMe a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.

14. Service Availability

SummarizeMe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions. Subscription fees will not be prorated for service downtime unless the interruption is sustained and material.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SummarizeMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to SummarizeMe in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

17. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where material, by sending notice to your registered email address. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
